 Text on images

Images and graphics shouldn't use text to convey a message; however, logos are acceptable in images.

Example: Assistive devices (e.g. screen readers) cannot parse text within the image, including a photo of an event poster with event information. Rather than upload this type of file, have the text content converted to an accessible format (e.g. a custom coded infographic) or a text-only accessible version along with the image.

 Alternative text

Provide alternative text (alt-text) for all images and graphics. Alt-text is a concise description of the image, which works with assistive devices.
