Conference presentations provide valuable opportunities to position Ontario Tech University experts as thought leaders in their respective fields. Through a presentation you can build your (and the university's) credibility, and engage target audiences, opening doors to future opportunities. Follow the tips below to reinforce the university's brand through your presentations:

• Use Ontario Tech University in all your references to the university. If you're repeating the name more than once, in subsequent references, refer to the university as Ontario Tech. Don't use acronyms such as OTU, as acronyms are not part of the official brand (nor is the retired UOIT acronym). 
• Understand how the material you are presenting aligns with the university's key messages/priorities, and work that messaging into your presentation.
• If you are asked for background information about the university, share this profile.
• Use university-branded Powerpoint and Agenda templates.
• Follow the university's logo download and usage guidelines.

In-person 

• Wear your Ontario Tech University-branded name badge and hand out business cards with updated branding on them. If you don't have these, don't create your own; order them on the university's stationery eStore. 

Virtual 

• Use the Ontario Tech virtual background for Zoom presentations.
