Metadata

Metadata - data that describes or provides information about other data (in this case, the web page).

In the CMS, the available metadata options provide information to the CMS system about page attributes like page name, page layout, the appearance of the page in navigation menus, password protection, and how the page appears in search engine results. The CMS takes this information and makes appropriate layout or page property changes.

To modify the metadata options described in this section, create a new page or edit an existing page. Content Metadata are required fields located in the Content tab of the page editor.
